Metamorphic

"Metamorphic" is an installation of conceptual art done by an Emirati artist, named Zeinab Al Hashemi. Her work consists of different layers of stained glass formed with rotated metal mesh. The colors she used to form her art, aim to portray the land and water of Abu Dhabi. The film was made as a reflection of this marvelous creation. Almost everyone who grew up in the UAE is intrigued by the construction work that has been in constant progress. Their memories of school or youth are pivoted by a certain monument or structure that was built during that time. In the same way, through her work of art, the artist represents man made construction in our day to day city life. According to Zeinab “metamorphic” describes a deconstructed nature” which has been unfortunately deconstructed through humans, who enforced their power and status over the wildlife.
